Blackbird was thrilled to partner with Production Glue once more to help turn NYC's Penn Plaza neigborhood into a pedestrian plaza for the summer of 2015, known as Plaza 33.

The project, designed by W Architecture, closes 33rd St. between 7th & 8th Ave to vehicle traffic while making it a welcoming spot for those in the neighborhood to use for activities, lunch, listening to music and more. In just two weeks this street went from a place that most New Yorker's think little about to a lively and friendly place to meet and mingle. The plaza includes benches through out, artwork by Keith Haring and Roy Lichtenstein, large stadium seating at the west end and a street paint treatment to tie it all together.

For the 2 months that the plaza will be open, there will be daily concerts, activities, movies, and exercise programs to bring people to the area.  Check out for a schedule of events.
